The black is on.  How ever, with these stormy conditions, I'm reluctant to spray the clear.  The buffeting wind upsets the spray pattern, so I will wait until the wind dies down.

The masking is complete, time for some black.
Let's put on some color.  I even bought a new color gun.  Thanks Nate Zukas for your advice.  I had forgot all about them, I used them back in the 60s, painting aircraft.
Color is on. Now for a few hours of masking.

Along with the Cougs cross bike,  I've got a lot of paint work and restorations coming in.  The first is this Crux we're going to do up in the team colors of matte black, yellow, and red.
Here it is fresh from chemical strip and blast.  Gonna do a color matching stem to go along with the frame set.
A fresh coat of etch prime.  Tomorrow will be the epoxy prime.

I just finished up a frame for Todd.  I applied the white and two coats of clear over the beautiful Sea Foam green powder coat.
Coming soon to a cross track near you, no matter where you live.  We have been hammering out the design and are at about 90%.  The Llewellyn Crescendo lugs and bottom bracket have been ordered along with the couplers.  S3 and Columbus tubes to follow.

I am actually getting work done on the mixte.
The fork will be complete once the eyelets are brazed on.  The eyelet is sitting nicely in its pocket.

And I got the tab slots cut for the rockers.
I was concerned that the rockers are too big and will over power the small frame.  But, I think with the disc and large Alfine hub in the background it won't be an issue.  Also, I will polish the inserts and raised portions of the dropout.
I have these points laying around, so I decided to make a decorative lug for the lateral struts
This is kinda what it will look like.  I will open the curves and finese the points like on the head tube lugs.
