Second try on making my own decals, I'm too cheap to pay to have them made. Much better, I actually got one on the cow
bell. I will clear coat it when I finish the paint on Brians frame.
Next test will be heavier fixative coat and don't allow the decal to curl. It cracks the fixative coat.

Here's the mod I did to Dylans seat post lug. I lengthened the point 12mm and will thin it it to .030" when I finish file the frame. This will provide a much smoother transition from the .4mm wall thickness to the 2mm thickness of the lug, seat tube.

I just finished spraying Brians fork and a cowbell I'm going to use
for my decal making project, it was handy. This was the softest and lightest shade of blue I could get. Of course the pic doesn't show how deep and wet the gloss coat looks.

And slamming away on Dylans frame. You can see the cut away I did on the top tube/head tube lug. Looks much cleaner while maintaining the correct head tube length. Also, those are the ULTRARSS seat stays.

So, with Brians frame at the powder coaters, there is no time to lose. Here is a couple of shots of Dylans bottom bracket brazed in place with the large weight reducing windows.

I just wanna clarify my position on the beautiful Paul
horizontal dropouts. I'm not a fan of cantilever design
ever since Cannondale came out with them eons ago.
I prefer the track style. Also, they are very fat. Brazing that wide tab into a delicate 11.3mm S3 seat stay is not as robust as I would like it. A narrower tab shares the load better in my opinion.

Off to the paint store!

Here's a pic of Brians frame with the
seat tube completed and
drop outs in perfect alignment.

And, .........it is done. Ready for powder coat, then back for the logo and accent color on the fork. Now on to Dylans team issue .

Spending the day filing and sanding Brians frame. Will take it in to chase and face the bottom bracket tomorrow.

Might not get to reaming and honing and slitting the seat tube until Friday.
