Ya, I know. Brians frame is coming along nicely and should go to glass bead next Monday.
But, I am very pumped on these Alchemy/Kinlin wheels. I built the rear today and it went together as easily as the front. I have never built a Kinlin from new, only trying to salvage somebody elses bad build. I was thinking the V-word, but these suckers are round. The set weighs in at 1379 gms. and this is with the 5 bearing rear hub and oversize bearing front hub. Great cross wheel set.

Brians frame is finishing up nicely, but I wanted a break from the filing and sanding so I decided to build Devins front wheel. Kinlin TB25 rim with an E.L.F. hub and CX-RAY spokes. 594gms. and quite stiff.

A couple of shots of Brians frame, still hot, but finally complete through silver brazing. I had hoped to do it yesterday, but the valve on my newly filled acetylene bottle was so tight I twisted it clean off trying to open it. Had to go back this morning and get a new bottle. The frame is soaking in hot water to remove the flux and I will start filing and sanding tomorrow.

I have foolishly run out of acetylene and am unable work on Brianeros frame. Because of the upcoming Kermesse at Kreugers Farm and going to Sun River next week, it will have to sit until after Tinas big bash. But, could this be Devins next ride?

The rough mitered seatstay on Brineros frame. I like to spread them to the outside edge of the seat lug for more mud clearance, strength, and aesthetics. I need the pivot to pivot dimension on his Paul cantis so I can start setting up the brake bosses.

Here is how far I got yesterday. The chainstays came out right on target dimensionally with no realignment necessary. And here is a mock up with the uncut seatstays. They might look a little odd because I have only formed the lower bend. Today I hope to reshape the bending madrel to fit the large diameter of the upper seatstay and finish the bends. We will see...........

Here is a pic of the extended seat lug point on Brianeros frame. I think it looks better than the the original wimpy point. As soon as the carpet guys leave, I will start installing his rear triangle.
