The lug and logo masking is complete.  3.5 hours and many x-acto blades.

The Mouse Grey doesn't look particularly appealing in this photo.  Let's see how it does when the frame is unmasked.

Back from Mexico and time to get busy.  This frame will be a wall display at a firm downtown.  It needs to be finished and mounted by March 11.

After the seal coat, I applied the Sealing Wax Red and then the Light Grey.  The next color will be Mouse Grey.  This livery is vintage Volkswagen from the early fifties.

 I have glass bead blasted the frame and applied the etch prime.

Now to finesse the little mis-matches, pits, etc. in the investment cast lugs.

 The art frame is brazed up and I am prepping it for glass beading first thing in the morning.

The Anvil canti boss jig comes handy for fixturing dropouts also.

 Here is a pic of finished and unfinished chain and seat stays.

A close up of the Nova investment cast seat stay cap.  A pair of them weigh a paltry 52 gms.

The front triangle is roughed in.  I still have to remove the shift cable adjuster bosses and drill the vent holes, etc.

 So how easy a fit up is the Sachs dropout.  A 90' cut and you are done, but when it is finished, it looks like you have spent hours in shaping scallops and pointing the tabs.

Here is another view showing the points.  And they weigh only 96 gms. a pair for those that watch that stuff.

The tubes have just arrived for the art bike, so time to get busy.  This is the first time I will be using Richie Sachs lugs, BB, and dropouts.  I have to say they are exquisite.  I'll elaborate more as the build progresses.
